Data & Research Ethics Policy

Purpose

Planimeter Group is committed to conducting all analytical, statistical, and scientific activities according to the principles of transparency, reproducibility, scientific integrity, and responsible data use.

This policy describes the standards applied across clinical research, real-world evidence (RWE), health economics, epidemiology, and advanced analytics projects.

1.           Scientific Integrity

All analyses are performed using predefined methodologies and documented assumptions.

Planimeter Group does not intentionally manipulate, omit, or selectively report findings to influence scientific conclusions.

Results are presented objectively, regardless of whether outcomes support a desired hypothesis or business objective.

2.           Data Privacy and Confidentiality

Planimeter Group respects the confidentiality of all client data.

Patient-level data, clinical study data, and proprietary business information are processed only for authorized project purposes and according to applicable contractual, regulatory, and legal requirements.

3.           Responsible Use of Clinical and Real-World Data

Data integration and harmonization activities are performed using documented procedures designed to preserve traceability and analytical reproducibility.

When combining multiple data sources, all transformation rules, derivations, and harmonization decisions are documented and retained within the project record.

4.           Reproducibility and Transparency

Analytical deliverables are supported by documented workflows, statistical code, and version-controlled project materials whenever applicable.

Key project assumptions, analytical decisions, and data-processing steps are recorded to facilitate review and future reuse.

5.           Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Analytics

Artificial intelligence tools may be used to support productivity, software development, documentation, or exploratory analysis.

AI-generated content is subject to human review prior to client delivery.

Final responsibility for scientific conclusions remains with qualified project personnel.

Planimeter Group does not rely solely on automated systems for scientific decision-making.

6.           Conflicts of Interest

Project personnel are expected to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the objectivity of analytical work.

Scientific conclusions are developed independently from commercial considerations.

7.           Quality and Continuous Improvement

Planimeter Group promotes continuous improvement through training, process refinement, peer review, and lessons learned from completed projects.

Feedback from clients and collaborators is used to improve service quality and scientific rigor.

8.           Commitment

We believe that trustworthy evidence begins with trustworthy data practices.

Our objective is not only to generate analyses, but to provide transparent, reproducible, and scientifically defensible evidence that supports better decisions.
